PAFA (Parenting Assessments for All) Ltd provides a safe, supported and nurturing environment in order for parents to consistently meet the developing needs of their child/ren and protect them from harm.

The safety of children in our care is paramount, and we strive to provide parents with the tools and skills necessary to bring their child/ren up in a safe and nurturing environment.

We collaborate closely with Local Authorities to provide a comprehensive 12-14 week Residential Parenting Assessment and Support Programme tailored for families facing significant concerns regarding safeguarding or parental capacity to provide adequate care, as identified through social work assessments.

During this period, families receive accommodation as they await court outcomes or formal arrangements. If necessary, our Clinical Psychologist can conduct cognitive and psychological assessments upon request by the Local Authorities.

Once a family has completed the assessment, Local Authorities have the opportunity to engage our holistic services, including ongoing support from our Clinical Psychologist and Healthy Relationships Practitioner, to ensure continued support for the family transitioning back into the community.

Frequently Asked Questions

We understand that parents or Local Authorities may have questions regarding our programme, please note that we are available to discuss any queries via our contact form, however, you can view our frequently asked questions below.

We understand that new residents may feel unsure when arriving at either of our houses, and we understand it can take time to settle into our accommodation. You may take some time to become familiar with our programme, surroundings and staff. Taking this into account, we have introduced a two-week settling in period for new residents. Therefore, if behaviour is manageable for us, any concerns raised during the first two weeks will be documented on our ‘Verbal Warning’ forms and formal processes will commence within the third week. Our fully qualified Social Workers will explain this to you upon arrival. Parenting Assessments run between 12 and 14 weeks, and if an assessment is not going as planned, a disruption meeting will be held with yourself and the Local Authority to see how this can be improved, or if the placement should be terminated.

Your family’s room and facilities will be prepped and ready for you to move into. You will need to bring children’s toys, prams, pushchairs, sterilisers, bottles, clothes, toiletries, food and any other items your child has with you. You are more than welcome to bring items with you that will help you to feel more at home, such as photographs.

Currently, we are not promoting contact (physically or virtually) and do not supervise contact in the community. We do not promote face to face contact in house however, we will support the family to and from the Local Authorities chosen venue for contact with older children. We can promote virtual contact on a regular basis at specified dates and times.

We have 24-hour support from our highly trained team of support workers, to ensure that everybody feels safe, secure and support is available when required. This alongside the CCTV (with audio) enables security to be of a very high standard.
