When a Local Authority places a family within our care, the first step we take is to ensure they are comfortable in a new environment.

We allow families time to get acquainted with their new surroundings, explore the communal areas and get settled within their rooms. Parents are provided with a tailored programme detailing the plan for their stay.

Our assessment centres in Heswall and Wallasey are conveniently located near supermarkets, pharmacies, hairdressers, and cafés for families to explore during their stay. Just a short bus journey away from our properties are town centres, with access to banks and a variety of restaurants.

We provide parents with the tools they need to meet their child/ren's developing needs.

Local Amenities

Both of our properties are situated close to local shops, restaurants and public transport for families to visit during their stay with us.

Safeguarding

Our centres have round-the-clock CCTV with audio, and we provide commission services for therapists offering specialised support to families staying with us. Additionally, we have a weekly or bi-weekly health visitor to ensure comprehensive care for families.

Regulations

In addition to regular inspections by Ofsted, we have monthly visits from a Reg 25 visitor to ensure compliance with regulations. This visitor engages with staff, resident parents, and stakeholders to ensure PAFA maintains high standards of health, safety, and fairness.

Local Healthcare

We facilitate access to nearby healthcare and children’s centres for families during their stay. We also connect families with local specialist services upon arrival to ensure they receive comprehensive support for their needs while at PAFA.
